Egg Recall Expands to Lance Berkman

Pointing to the national egg recall of more than 400 million fresh eggs, the Yankees have asked MLB to consider overturning the July trade for Houston Astro Lance Berkman.

In a sparsely worded statement, the Yankees said: "It is clear that we have laid an egg during the time period when all eggs are being returned to their original domains. For the health and safety of our team and its fans, we respectfully petition Major League Baseball to recall Lance Berkman to the Houston ranch where he was hatched."
