Swoon First - Game Thread - Yar √s Yam - "Harr to Give a Damn"

  1. A prediction:

As you all know I am of the opinion that the ball has been juiced for this series.

    This means two things.

One: The balls go further. Duh.

Two: It doesn't respond the same way to the pitcher. Meaning they don't have the same control and command as they would with a regular ball.

Because of this, the better pitcher, Yamamoto, who has dominated the Yankees, will struggle more as the ball doesn't go where he wants and the Yankees will score on him big time!

Does this mean they will win? No. But they might.

  4. I swear, Booooone is going to ruin Lasagna. Guaranteed he’ll be back in the IL before July.

  5. Don’t believe any of the positive feelings that you may be feeling from tonight’s win.

This team will still let you down.

That said - the Yankees did in fact win.

    The Yankees Won.

  6. Yet somehow my contempt for booone grows , even in victory

  7. He brings in Lasagna to face a few righties, then brings in Williams to pitch to a handful of lefties. Does Boooooone live in an alternate reality?

Seems more sane to use Williams to pitch to all the right-handed hitters in the seventh, then bring in Lasagna in the eighth to pitch to Ohtani.

What a world we live in. Am I crazy or does Boooooone not have any idea how to handle a bullpen?

  9. Weaver injured, Martian injured. Well, that's par for the course, too.

  10. Weaver was injured? Missed that.

  11. Jesus, Carrasco again?

"He surrendered seven runs on 10 hits in 6⅓ innings across two starts for Scranton/Wilkes-Barre and has not pitched since May 18, making him available to give the Yankees length"
