If Schmidt pitches a good game, I'd hate to see him miss out on the win. Other than that...
We'll lose tomorrow with Stroman pitching. I think maybe two or three innings, four, five runs at least. Boone will leave him in to save the bullpen for another day, but it won't work.
LOL,like the Oyster Bar in the basement of Grand Central? Not much ever happens in Branford. They're putting in a new Little Pub by the corner of Cedar Street and Rte 1. It's the tenth Little Pub in CT but you probably left before their first restaurant. It took the spot where Dtagon East was for 25 years. You might have departed before that place as well. How long have you been gone? New places open and close all the time especially around The Green on Main Street.
5-10 over their last 15, against 5 teams with losing records. They have scored 44 runs in those 15 games (28 in 13 games, if you take away 9 runs in one Baltimore game and 7 in one Cincinnati game). 110 hits—meaning their average hitting performance in this stretch is 2.9 runs, 7.3 hits. 35 extra-base hits in that time, or about 2.3 a game.

DeleteNo game thread today? Everyone on vacation?
DeleteI’m here - and I thought that this was the game thread. Something deep inside wishes that we lose today’s game to the SacA’s 1-0.
DeleteIs that wrong?
Am I a bad person?

Why? Is it snowing in Syracuse today?
ReplyDeleteWho's still alive in the Beach Boys, anyway? Mike Love?
ReplyDeleteMike Love and Al Jardine. Jardine is doing his own tour -- apparently he doesn't like the drama.
DeleteThat one hurts. 4-0, insurmountable for this spindly offense.
ReplyDeleteJudge the king of almost today.
ReplyDeleteYeah, game over. Cue the gaslight machine
ReplyDeleteGood thing we got rid of that Sears guy. Especially with what we got in return.
ReplyDeleteThe trade that sent Sears to Oakland really worked out well, didn’t it?
ReplyDeleteCashman is a genius. Bound for the Hall.
ReplyDeletePathetic. But if the manager doesn’t care, why should they?
ReplyDeleteAnd this just in courtesy of MLB.com:
ReplyDelete“Stroman feeling great on eve of return to Yankees' rotation’
That makes one person who does.
DeleteJust fuck around and slide into the playoffs. With great defense as we just saw.
ReplyDeleteReally falling apart now. It’s hard to watch this shit
ReplyDeleteSad.
ReplyDeleteHEY - come on now.....look at the bright side - Volpe walked !
DeleteBarfaroni.
ReplyDeleteGoodnight Gracie
ReplyDeleteI guess that microscopic ERA at Scranton didn't extrapolate over to the big league.
ReplyDeleteFor Winans
ReplyDeleteWinans and Losings
ReplyDeleteHey Carl - what's happening in Branford these days . . ?

DeleteSee you tomorrow, gents. The next three outs will be futile and stupid. Like the previous 24 for the offense.
ReplyDeletethere will be a game thread tomorrow - JM - you can bet your schnitzel on it!
DeleteIt’s not going to be a Yankee Classic…
ReplyDeleteGood God, what a stupid team. Glad I missed this one!
ReplyDeleteNo Winans for the Yankees today
ReplyDeleteOMG, Judge in a hurry to get off the field I guess…what a sorry ass slowing effort. Somebody needs to be held accountable.
ReplyDeleteThis was the one game I could watch in Germany timezone. Glad I chose to visit the local biergarten instead
ReplyDeleteYES announced the death of Dave Parker, one month before his HOF induction.
ReplyDeleteVery sad about Parker; what a great player!
ReplyDeleteAnd...very sad about Judge. What a great player—in his time.
ReplyDeleteWOW - funny
