  1. A scoreless inning for our newly minted All-Star. Hurrah!

  2. Another lineup out of a hat. Ben Rice, mired in a month-long slump, hitting fourth? Right.

  3. Rickie, en Ingles! Ay caramba...Va a ser un gran fin de semana!

  4. Ah, runs, runs, I love runs.

So...a reversal of yesterday's game? Rodon up 3-0, after 3. Let's see what he's made of. (Sadly, we already know.)

  5. Pete Crow-Armstrong's a Hollywood nepo-baby apparently. On the other hand, you can either hit or you can't. Mom and Dad's connections at CAA aren't much help there.

    1. Which is another reason we love the game, Publius.

  6. Judge brought his glove today. The “MVP” chants got loud after the first catch, and really loud after the second catch.

  7. Judge! Nice catch. And who the hell was that idiot kid?

"Puttin' on a show" is right.

  8. You know, I really like Liev Schreiber as an actor. But I find that ad he does for the Hamptons helicopter to be truly sacrilegious.

He's watching the moon landing as a kid—and that inspires him to take a noisy death machine out to Richville? Gimme a break. I watched the moon landing as a kid, too. It was the greatest thing I ever saw. Even then, I would've understood it wasn't about jumping into a copter so the high and mighty don't have to sit in traffic.

  9. Actually (a little) funny, playing "Say Goodbye to Hollywood" when Turner flies out.

  10. "Please Come To Boston" when he Ks?

  11. But that's not a Billy Joel number!

    1. Believe it or not, I didn't know until just now it was Billy Joel night. It's a matter of trust.

  12. Belli and Belli! (Uh-oh, now it's 5-0. I don't trust the juju entities.) And I repeat, why is Rice hitting fourth? Did Boone have a senior moment and think he was Jim Rice?

  13. Michael Kay, ladies and gentlemen.

  14. This indecision's buggin' me (esta indecisión me molesta)
If you don't want me, set me free (Si no me quieres, librame)
Exactly whom I'm supposed to be (Dime! ¿Qué tengo ser?)
Don't you know which clothes even fit me? (No sabes que ropas me queda)
Come on and let me know (Pero tienes que decir)
Should I cool it or should I blow? (¿Me debo ir o quedarme?)

  21. Thanks for the birthday wishes. It was a fun night with my sons. It was nice of them to ask Cody Bellinger to hit 3 HRs for me.

  22. BbB - Happy Birthday ! I would have offered my best of wishes earlier but I was busy. Now I’m cooking for a bunch of humans that expect to feed on my dishes.
