  1. Just to cheer everyone u:

—Yankees 3-9 at Citified since 2019.
—Stroman's fastball tops out at 89.5 mph. Soto, right now, hitting sub-90 mph fastballs at a .500 BA (13-2), with 4 extra-base hits and 1.309 OPS.

As Ed Grimley would put it, we're as doomed as doom can be, y'know.

  2. Don't worry. We called up Scott Effross.

  3. It's sad, so sad
    It's a sad, sad situation
And it's gettin' more and more absurd

  4. Damn! This could be a good day to celebrate.

  5. Six more runs, we win this game….

  6. Don’t look now, but My Favorite Martian is batting .356 over his last 30 games.

    ReplyDelete
  7. But he plays the outfield like Soto

  8. Who needs to catch the ball when you’re hitting the ball….

    ReplyDelete
  9. Did I say 6 more….

    Maybe I meant 7

  10. Stroman sucks. He's done and doesn't know it. His first start was five strong innings against a Babe Ruth League team. It was not a harbinger of things to come.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Stroman is useless.

Carlos Carrasco, your Uber is waiting

  12. Schmidt to the IL. Tests pending. Cam Schlittler, the great white hope, was rocked in his last start at SWB. The next 2 men up are Allan Winans and Carlos Carrasco.

    Your choice…

    1. Carrasco is still hanging around? I thought he was released outright.

      Man, we're fucked.

  13. Volpe is another one. AAAA player.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Volpe looked like a little leaguer in that AB

    ReplyDelete
  15. He not only stinks, he's also arrogant.

  16. OH My GoD ? When did the METS cover over Shea Stadium with bricks ?

    ReplyDelete
  17. I think during the pandemic. No one was watching.

  18. “That umpire sucks eggs through a paper straw”

We may get a spectacular Boone Ejaction today.

    ReplyDelete
  19. That ump is absolute horseshit. Yeah, somebody’s gonna get tossed.
My money’s on you know who

    ReplyDelete
  20. Volpe is putting on a clinic at ss

    ReplyDelete
  21. Everyone sees it but Cashman and Boone.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Bell Rung - back down to only needing seven more runs…….

    ReplyDelete
  23. I was watching tennis for a bit. Missed Cody's home run.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Dominguez will probably be benched tomorrow, for not hittIng a solo home run.

    ReplyDelete
  25. What’s truly inspiring is that our Strat-O-Matic analysts only took 20 or so games to move home up in the lineup.

  26. Good tennis match going on. I switch between the Yankees and the BBC.

    ReplyDelete
  27. OMG! Is it really The Master’s birthday???

    ReplyDelete
  28. Just tuned in…looks like it’s home run derby for the Yankees…

First day I am cable free…

  29. O'Neill and Kay are not good.

    Like Volpe.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Hamilton has been on top of his game the last 12 outings. But not today.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I’m so hoping for a Leiter sighting..z

    ReplyDelete
  32. Not quite the same since the IL.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Doobie was a great series. Still is.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Dobie . I used to watch it with a doobie.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Bullpen's probably not done sucking

    ReplyDelete
  36. I mean, we all knew the ‘pen was not gonna hold it.

  38. This team might not win a game for another two weeks

    ReplyDelete
  39. Del Monte filed for bankruptcy. Sad.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Never mind the annual June swoon. This team has been in a Boone swoon for years.

    ReplyDelete
  41. PTOOEY!

“Ptooey" is an onomatopoeia, meaning it's a word that imitates a sound. Specifically, "ptooey" is used to represent the sound of spitting, often with an expression of disgust

    ReplyDelete
  42. I'm still enraged by that called third strike against Judge. I don't care if we are playing in Metsville. The busher does NOT get the call against an all-time great—particularly when the call is that bad. Boone should have got his ass ejected.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Another game, another loss and nothing will change.

    ReplyDelete
  44. That said...it was the same old, same old:

    —Inexplicably bad, shoddy fielding.
—Still playing guys who are through, because we owe them money (looking at you, Cantrun and DJ).
—Bullpen worn down to a nub.
    —No depth.
—No situational hitting, as demonstrated right down to the end, with Dominguez swinging at a 3-1 pitch that was out of the strike zone, with Judge on deck.
