  1. At least we paid a fair price for a fair third baseman.

Too bad, though, that we'll never be able to call Griffin "Red" Herring.

Grosz has produced some interesting, though sometimes shocking paintings. I hope oils aren't effected by the altitude.

  2. An All-Star last season, the 30-year-old McMahon has started a Major League-leading 100 games at the hot corner this season and is in the 91st percentile with 4 Outs Above Average.

Although his season stats aren’t overwhelming (16 homers, .717 OPS in 100 games), McMahon has been heating up for the past six weeks, hitting 10 home runs with an .820 OPS in 39 games since June 7. He is owed $16 million for each of the next two seasons, then is due to become a free agent.

Hey, he was an All Star last year! Whoo!

  3. Trade is confirmed,
Better than what we have. Consistently subpar OPS+. LH bat, which is not good. Some power. K’s a lot. Not fast. Under affordable cap value contract through 2027. Good to very good glove. Can actually reach 1B on his throws. Can also play 2B.

Again, better than what we have.

  4. He's the punky 3B known as McMahon. (Had to do it)

  5. McMahon leads the NL in Ks too. He'll fit right in.

  6. He strikes out a ton but is elite in hitting the ball hard (when he makes contact) and pulls the ball a lot, which makes him a good fit for the short RF porch. His fielding is excellent and much better than what they have, so for a few low-level prospects, it was an excellent move.

  9. Pretty damn good trade. We get a very, very good glove at third, a decent bat, without giving up anyone who will be missed. Just as importantly we have a team controllable player for a few years. Oh, best of all The Brain didn't lose his head and over pay for Suarez.

    2. as trade go - you are correct Sir.

But, but, but, but, but my AA sense tells me that the Intern, uh, I mean the Brain, uhm, I meant Cash, or like ah, the human turdcycle will likely have more depressing moves up his sleeves. . . . .

Lots of T-storms in the NYC area this evening.

  11. Excellent glove but never been a great hitter. I hope he can replicate something like what LeMahieu did when he left Colorado for NY.

But without pitching upgrades, it won’t matter. Correction: without a pitching and management upgrade, it probably won’t matter…

  13. Batting. .217 and strikes out 30% of abs. Perfect Ca$hole pickup.

    Like Hinkey said, won't matter.

  14. Why? They are so desperately stupid. Wait ... I guess that's why: they are all so desperately stupid.

  15. It's like our first Strat'o'Matic draft where someone forgot to pick up a SS because there were so many good relievers and good hitting first baseman on the board. 35 rounds to make our first league roster. Forgot all about SS. But it was a game and our FIRST draft and there was a lot of beer! It was a long night. You can understand that. (I traded Mike Gallego to them for league balance and they traded for Shawon Dunston later that season). But totally forgetting 3B for more than a year when you're a MLB club? Someone's gotta get fired for that shit.

  16. Not the worst they could do but far from the. Eat. Once again, instead of going all in Cashgrab goes for a band aid when they need a tourniquet

  17. Judge continues in his tailspin: 7-33 in his last 11, 4 homers, 7 RBI, 6 BB, 15 Ks. 46 points off the BA since May 21st. "Comin' down fast, but don't let me break you"...uh, too later for that.
