Guy Cabellero didn't look happy, but maybe he shouldn't have sidearmed it. I was actually starting to like him. Less so now. Own your errors and move on.
Don't know why, but I was thinking about that story not even five minutes before I read your post. Nobody will ever convince me that there isn't something sqquueey going on behind the curtains.
Jizz Chasm is this decade's Curtis Granderson. Just with a lot more screwups. If I'd have heard 39 hrs and 47 SB over a year, I'd say hell yeah. Yet somehow, he seems disappointing.
they all suck. every single one of them. except for when they don't. then they're great. case in point: Stanton sucks. strikes out too much, can't field, can't run and he gets hurt all the time. but then he hits a monster home run and he's great.
Yes, Granderson had his limitations. But he generally performed up to them, and gave us one truly great year. Jazz...is a histrionic ballplayer who is always all over the place. A good manager might calm him down. Where do we find one of them?
Granderson was also a really nice guy - especially to kids looking for an autograph (my daughter, not me dressed up as a man child, but thanks for asking)

ReplyDeleteFinally found the game on the Kazakstani sports network
ReplyDeleteHow’s the reception ?
DeleteFinally got rid of the snow after adjusting the rabbit ears. Your show of shows is being promoted as the postgame lineup.
DeleteThere was an ad giving a promo rate for Borat's sister. Half off if you placed a bet on tonights goat polo.
DeleteComes with free bleach
DeleteRice is an awful 1B man. Of course, having infielders who can reach first base would help.

DeleteIt's a well-known story, but its great, so in honor of Joe D-
ReplyDeleteWhen the missus returned from a USO trip to Korea, Joe asked her how it went.
"Oh Joe, they were so excited, it was so loud, enormous crowds, they were ecstatic. You never heard anything like it."
"Yes I have"

ReplyDeleteWell, at least he's not Gleyber.

DeleteAA, just remember, -- I still have the negatives. Not your daughter (that's sick), but you in the man child outfit. Delivering pizza. To Ron Jeremy.
DeleteRufus went to a place I could never go to . . . . . . (Ron Jeremy....ewwww)
DeleteOk, we're even then. For all those disturbing visuals from game threads a few weeks back.
DeleteNot for the martinis you said you'd mix for me
Let me state the obvious and say 2 runs won’t be enough to win this,
ReplyDeleteThere are no routine double play balls, not for the 2025 Yankees
ReplyDeleteBaseball!
ReplyDeleteGuess the Yankees were due to get away with it one when they actively tried to run themselves out of an inning.
ReplyDeleteOK, Gil was on pitch count and is not a big guy. B-b-b-b-b-but, who the fork would be better now? I'm going with no one.
ReplyDeleteOkay that's better somehow
DeleteNo lead safe with this bullpen
ReplyDeleteThis is how it starts.
ReplyDeleteAt least it was only a solo shot.
ReplyDeleteFFS
ReplyDeleteAnd the Devin Williams Experience is now on center stage!
ReplyDeleteBoone is insane. He keeps going to Williams expecting different results.
ReplyDeletePhew. Got away with it tonight…
ReplyDeleteLove Dat Bunt
ReplyDeleteA bunt there, & they tried a squeeze play with Cabellero. Nice to see.
ReplyDeleteAnd Boston is fielding even worse than the Yankees. What a world.
33 winning seasons in a row! Does that come with some kind of prize?
ReplyDeleteThe P.T. Barnum prize. On us.
DeleteOr maybe the Lucy with the football prize. Take your pick.
And remember if it's not a booger then it's snot.
I’m satisfied…for tonight
ReplyDeleteSleep tight, Commentarians.
ReplyDeleteRemember to be kind to everyone you meet overnight in your dreams . . .
(unless they're dreamworld ass holes . . . )
