I feel like this is the fortieth time I’ve posted this during the season, but this umpire is awful. Cannot wait - cannot FUCKING wait - for the automated strike zone. It also has the virtue of doing away with the “pitch framing” nonsense,
I'll remain skeptical until October 1st. Then, I'll remain skeptical until November 1st. If they don't absolutely suck by the end of the year, I'll remain skeptical until the end of next season. I'm digging in for the long run.
Ain't that the truth? The Astros aren't really very good this year. In fact, they're about as good--or bad--as we are. So this series might be the best one to win. Detroit, Toronto, and Boston will be tougher. Boston isn't that great, either, but we can't seem to beat them this year.
Should be an interesting couple of weeks. Fried looks good again. Chisholm is hot, Grisham is hot. Stanton is not. Nice job by Boone to make sure he cooled off by sitting him on the bench. Another genius move by the idiot.
Not to be confused with Iggy Pop's The Idiot, still a great, weird, sonically odd LP.

Guy Caballero told the ump he needed glasses.
ReplyDeleteNo way ca$hole can afford to re-sign Grisham now.
ReplyDeleteIs this game real 👀
ReplyDeleteThat lead ain’t safe…
DeleteWilliams is warming up. Really, really, really not safe.
DeleteThey are not a consistent team. I want more 1-point wins. You can't do the feast or famine thing. Colonoscopy Cashman strikes again.

ReplyDeleteEgos are out of control nowadays.
DeleteYou’re right, Rufus. That was ridiculous.
ReplyDeleteIn the mean time, it’s weird watching another team do stupid things. Those bunts were gifts.
Boy Jazz took forever to round the bases…
ReplyDeleteA reclamation project just struck out the side…
ReplyDeleteThat was a big Yankee win.
ReplyDeleteYankees Win!!!!
ReplyDeleteThat’s one. Need to take 2/3

DeleteLucky for us
DeleteUnfortunately, I'll take the little guy. he's clutch!
ReplyDeleteThey are giving us the cruelest twist of all to this season. Hope.

DeleteIn the immortal words of Spencer Stribble, It’s never to late to be early.
DeleteSkepticism is a good attitude here. There's no being too skeptical about baseball!
