Amazing how bad the bottom of our order is. Fluharty was in there throwing basically the same, 91-mph pitch every time, and we could not hit him. Got a break with their error, though—which Judge is about to give back.
At least Judge is redeeming himself both at bat and in the field. Good. He's a fine person and a great ballplayer. Next is he has to inspire them to shake off the Boone cobwebs and kick some butt.

Actually, it is.
ReplyDeleteThese Yankees don't just lose. They figure out new and exciting ways, year after year, to be humiliated. It's remarkable.
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping that next year Volpe and Boone are together on another team. Also, Bring Michael King home.
ReplyDeleteInjury prone Michael King?
DeleteAlso, Jazz really needs to go. Wells ability to frame pitches becomes moot next year and Bellinger not being agressive in left tells me he can go too.
ReplyDeleteThe baseball gods want us to suffer.
ReplyDeleteVolpe's strikeout rate in the playoff is over 50%. Can we stop now?
ReplyDeleteVolpe is the hill that Cashman has chosen to die on. I'll never understand the loyalty in that relationship.
DeleteCashman said about Volpe. “I think he’s a good player. I think he’s got a lot of abilities that are positive."
DeleteDuque, wake up!
ReplyDeleteDUQUE, WAKE UP!
oh look it's Aaron Judge in a big moment. I wonder how this will go?

ReplyDeleteNice that went foul. It had 5-4-3 DP written all over it.
ReplyDeleteso DP?
ReplyDelete:)
ReplyDeleteIt … happened!
ReplyDeleteReverse JUJU baby!
ReplyDeleteYes!
ReplyDeleteWho would have thunk that?
ReplyDeleteChrist in a sidecar, didja see that blast!
ReplyDeleteUh ... you might want to wake up now.
ReplyDeleteThe gods want us to suffer. We are being fed before being led to the slaughter.
ReplyDeleteWow. Thought it had to be foul.
ReplyDeleteAnd we're only through four.
ReplyDeleteMaybe Judge IS ready to put them on his back. Doing it in the field, too.
ReplyDeleteHow do we get to the finish line vis-a-vis, uh, you know...the bullpen?
ReplyDeleteAt least Judge is redeeming himself both at bat and in the field. Good. He's a fine person and a great ballplayer. Next is he has to inspire them to shake off the Boone cobwebs and kick some butt.
ReplyDeleteAwesomeness
ReplyDeleteWe need 12 more outs.
ReplyDeleteand more if we don't score a run.
DeleteAll right, gonna try to stick here, now. We got two threads going. And...
ReplyDeleteI sense a UVM approaching.
ReplyDeleteWell.
ReplyDeleteOops. It was an UCM, instead. My bad.
ReplyDeleteJazz E.D. Magic !
ReplyDeleteA shot of Jism
ReplyDeleteI guess Jazz woke up
ReplyDeleteAnd so we have a ballgame ....
ReplyDeleteThe Master might say, "ALL THAT JAZZZZZZZ"
ReplyDeleteWho lit the fire under these guys? I see why you switched threads. This is a different ballgame.
ReplyDeleteSo THAT was the solution all along? New threads when the score is upside down?
DeleteI think that's how we fool the Ju-Ju gods. Leave the bar and go to another thread.
DeleteNOW we need lockdown pitching and 12 outs of it. This has been my worry all year.
ReplyDeletemeh...
ReplyDeleteThis just in: Volpe still can’t hit.
ReplyDeleteImagine if we had a …
ReplyDeleteCHALLENGE LEFT !
what we need is six more runs
ReplyDeleteYep. Exactamundo.
DeleteThere’s one.
ReplyDeleteSweet Jesus
ReplyDeletePlease o Please
ReplyDeleteWilliams??
ReplyDeleteYeah, I thought I sensed an Unexpected Volpe Moment coming on. But it was just a burp.
ReplyDeleteWell, we knew we had to see this inning...
ReplyDeleteYeah, you know everything's going all right when that didn't go sideways.
ReplyDeleteOr that.
ReplyDeleteI'm hiding in the closet under some boxes
ReplyDeleteWow
ReplyDeleteWe should score some more, uh, like you know…. RUNS !
ReplyDeleteOr that. Glad to see—but I don't want that guy back next year. Who for the 8th? And where can we purchase 6 more runs?
ReplyDeleteI know a guy …
DeleteThink Weaver is coming in for the eight ?
ReplyDeleteI mean, better than Weaver. But this is pushing it.
ReplyDeleteuh oh. Williams for more than one inning
ReplyDeleteOh, John Smoltz sounds like he's going to cry.
ReplyDeletemaybe it's just one batter
ReplyDeleteHe needs to get aDP
ReplyDeletefucking williams
ReplyDeleteGet him out
ReplyDeleteOf the game
DeleteKey out.
ReplyDeleteGood comeback in that AB. Thought he was going to create a shitstorm.
ReplyDeleteShould have gotten a run out of that.
ReplyDeleteYep. Stanton should not have been first-pitch swinging. But now we need to hold.
ReplyDeleteNice. But scaring the hell out of me with some of these...
ReplyDeleteThank you, Mr. Umpire. Nice make-up.
ReplyDeleteStop overthrowing.
ReplyDeleteDon't walk this fucker
ReplyDeleteYESSSSSSSSSSS !
ReplyDeleteNice. Very very nice.
ReplyDeleteThe House of Pain remains open..,
ReplyDeleteYankees Win!!!
ReplyDeleteNice. Far from out of the woods. But...thuuuuuuhhhhhhhhhuuuuhhhhh...
ReplyDeleteThhuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!!!! FINALLY
ReplyDeleteMystique & Aura were in the Stadium tonight.
ReplyDelete"At this performance, the role of Jim Leyritz will be played by Aaron Judge"
ReplyDeleteGood one.
DeleteYes
DeleteNow Kirk should insult Schlittler’s Massachusetts family.
ReplyDeleteJust to get him iced up .
So what you are saying is I have to watch this shit again tommorrow?
ReplyDeleteYepperz
