Wake me up when it's over.

  1. These Yankees don't just lose. They figure out new and exciting ways, year after year, to be humiliated. It's remarkable.

  2. I'm hoping that next year Volpe and Boone are together on another team. Also, Bring Michael King home.

  3. Also, Jazz really needs to go. Wells ability to frame pitches becomes moot next year and Bellinger not being agressive in left tells me he can go too.

  4. The baseball gods want us to suffer.

  5. Volpe's strikeout rate in the playoff is over 50%. Can we stop now?

    1. Volpe is the hill that Cashman has chosen to die on. I'll never understand the loyalty in that relationship.

    2. Cashman said about Volpe. “I think he’s a good player. I think he’s got a lot of abilities that are positive."

  6. oh look it's Aaron Judge in a big moment. I wonder how this will go?

  7. Amazing how bad the bottom of our order is. Fluharty was in there throwing basically the same, 91-mph pitch every time, and we could not hit him. Got a break with their error, though—which Judge is about to give back.

  8. Nice that went foul. It had 5-4-3 DP written all over it.

  9. Christ in a sidecar, didja see that blast!

  10. Uh ... you might want to wake up now.

  11. The gods want us to suffer. We are being fed before being led to the slaughter.

  12. Maybe Judge IS ready to put them on his back. Doing it in the field, too.

    ReplyDelete
  13. How do we get to the finish line vis-a-vis, uh, you know...the bullpen?

    ReplyDelete
  14. At least Judge is redeeming himself both at bat and in the field. Good. He's a fine person and a great ballplayer. Next is he has to inspire them to shake off the Boone cobwebs and kick some butt.

  15. All right, gonna try to stick here, now. We got two threads going. And...

  16. Oops. It was an UCM, instead. My bad.

  17. The Master might say, "ALL THAT JAZZZZZZZ"

  18. Who lit the fire under these guys? I see why you switched threads. This is a different ballgame.

    1. So THAT was the solution all along? New threads when the score is upside down?

    2. I think that's how we fool the Ju-Ju gods. Leave the bar and go to another thread.

  19. NOW we need lockdown pitching and 12 outs of it. This has been my worry all year.

  20. This just in: Volpe still can’t hit.

  21. Imagine if we had a …

    CHALLENGE LEFT !

  22. Yeah, I thought I sensed an Unexpected Volpe Moment coming on. But it was just a burp.

  23. Well, we knew we had to see this inning...

    ReplyDelete
  24. Yeah, you know everything's going all right when that didn't go sideways.

    ReplyDelete
  25. I'm hiding in the closet under some boxes

    ReplyDelete
  26. We should score some more, uh, like you know…. RUNS !

    ReplyDelete
  27. Or that. Glad to see—but I don't want that guy back next year. Who for the 8th? And where can we purchase 6 more runs?

    ReplyDelete
  28. Think Weaver is coming in for the eight ?

    ReplyDelete
  29. I mean, better than Weaver. But this is pushing it.

    ReplyDelete
  30. uh oh. Williams for more than one inning

    ReplyDelete
  31. Oh, John Smoltz sounds like he's going to cry.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Good comeback in that AB. Thought he was going to create a shitstorm.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Should have gotten a run out of that.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Yep. Stanton should not have been first-pitch swinging. But now we need to hold.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Nice. But scaring the hell out of me with some of these...

    ReplyDelete
  36. Thank you, Mr. Umpire. Nice make-up.

  37. The House of Pain remains open..,

  40. "At this performance, the role of Jim Leyritz will be played by Aaron Judge"

  41. Now Kirk should insult Schlittler’s Massachusetts family.

Just to get him iced up .

  42. So what you are saying is I have to watch this shit again tommorrow?

    ReplyDelete
