Notes:
1. Stanton will play about 80 games.
2. If he hits a lick, Cabrera could displace McMahon.
3. In mid-May, Volpe will replace Caballero.
4. The Martian will be traded for bullpen help.
5. The Yankees are done buying free agents.
6. Greenland is ours!

Nice picture of Boone included.
ReplyDeleteInspires me not care even more.
Thats is exactly what I was thinking the batting libe up is at best static compared to last year it has not improved
ReplyDeletePitching is a worry seems to be relying on especially Cole and Carlos to be back to their best when returning from injury and Gil And Cam to live up to their potential and a bullpen that I think is worse? than last years
My opinion the offseason has been poor every team in the division seems to have improved and we were terrible against them last year
Yep, eaten alive by Blue Jays and Red Sox. Maybe even worse this year.
DeleteDuque, from your list:
ReplyDelete1. Stanton - methinks he plays only 40 games, hits .150.
2. Cabrera - you forget the Yankees hate developing position players. He will sit the bench and rot whilst McMahon hits .080 for the entire year.
3. Volpe - maybe back by the All Star break.
4. The Martian traded - yeah, this I can definitely see. But probably only 50/50. They like to hang on to young players and stash them in the minors until they're 28 or 29.
We’re paying McMahon $16M ($11.3 cap hit) in 2026. He will play 3b. You know the drill: if we’re paying him, we’re playing him.
ReplyDeleteBring on the lockout.
ReplyDeleteI'm putting on my salary cap and going to the Easter Parade.
ReplyDeleteGiven that this season's results will likely either be the same or less than last year's results I do believe that this blog should compile, amass, design, concoct and provide Yankees fans across this world and all others suggestions for alternative forms of entertainment to fill their free and leisure time with in place of Yankees Baseball.
ReplyDeleteWhose' In ?
Oh, I think that is definitely one of the functions of this here blog. To keep Yankee fans entertained and, maybe toasted, but not burnt out.
DeleteWe should certainly have a weekly movie list going. Maybe a book list too. I wanna put up a workout routine for all the lazy couch potatoes on here, maybe quarterly, get your motors running with a revised workout every 90 days or so.
Bleacher Report just did a "Most Overpaid at Every Position" Article and there were no Yankees! Cashman is a genius!!!!!!

Nobody is coming to save us - the Yankees or the Republic. We are on our own. As a New Yorker, I'm in favor of being an unaligned city-state, but I reject having the Yankees as our team. Or the Mets. I think we should be unaligned in terms of sports, as well. Maybe we could start a stickball league, composed of recovering crackheads.
ReplyDeleteI don't know who has a better upside, Jones or Dominguez, but you can bet they will trade Spencer before Jasson because of the 5.2 million signing bonus.
ReplyDeleteHow many high strikeout low average histters are there in the lineup you just posted?
