It’s been a good week: it would be even better if the Yankees can sweep the Stros, and maybe have another game where Boooooooone doesn’t get a chance to interfere with the outcome.
Apropos of nothing - when Hoss mentioned in a previous post that we should enjoy "riding this bear" while we can, or something like that - it made me recall that saying about fucking a gorilla - it ends when the gorilla says it ends. And how does that pertain to Los Yanquis? I don't know. I just know that we will eventually get fucked by these guys and that we will have no say in when it ends. But we never really did, did we? Is someone playing baseball today?
Great. Now instead of hitting .326 in AAA and playing everyday, he'll cool off while playing the bench behind Grisham (.160) and Grichuk (.194). I think anyone with a batting average below the Mendoza line by the end of April should not be starting, and the front office should be seriously looking to replace them on the roster. Talking to you too, McMahon.

THIS is the game thread. (Sorry about that, AA.)
ReplyDeleteWe’re all in this together, Hoss - simmering in the same stew.
DeleteTherefore:
No worries. It’s all for the greater good. We’re all on the same team.
Every sperm is sacred.
Don’t stop ‘til you get enough.
Happy Birthday Captain !

ReplyDeleteLots of fans masquerading as empty seats…
ReplyDeleteGil masquerading as a pitcher.
ReplyDeleteI do like McMahon‘a defense.
ReplyDeleteGil needs a talking to
And Blake obliged
Delete(And that wuz supposed to be McMahon‘s not McMahon‘a)
Jazz has to stop this shit
ReplyDeleteHe never will
DeleteWe’re not winning today are we?
ReplyDeleteLooks doubtful. Gil is pitching himself out of the rotation.
DeleteGilled.
ReplyDeleteBut he can breathe under water
DeleteBlackburn means Boone and the “brain” trust doesn’t care about this game
ReplyDeleteBoone is very adept at throwing away the getaway day game, especially if it would complete a brooming.
ReplyDeleteButt someone should tell Boone that they’re staying in Texas
DeletePhoning this one is, and the connection is spotty.
ReplyDeleteA birthday blast
ReplyDeleteIt looks like the Yankees winning streak will die on Boot Gil.
ReplyDeleteCole and Rodon are coming back soon so do the math…
ReplyDeleteNo offense.
ReplyDeleteMets had bases loaded bottom of the eighth, one out, losing 3-1, and nada. At least we've missed a 12-game losing streak so far.
Yankees have sent Luis Gil back to Triple-A

ReplyDeleteOkay, disregard my last question. I just looked at the box score.
ReplyDeleteSigh.
The only way to look at the box scores is with a box cutter.
DeleteBah BI Gil . . .
The Yankees have called up Jasson Dominguez
ReplyDeleteThey had better stick with him through thick and thin. No more fucking with the kid's head.
