So, we had a gorgeous, sunny spring afternoon here in New York, which would have been a great time to play baseball.
Why a night game? On this date in April?
Oh, who knows. Probably, it was to adhere to one of the 365 byzantine contracts and options the Yankees and MLB have agreed to with 45 separate streaming and cable companies. Or they're just hoping to run it against the Final Four, and bring TNT's rating in Connecticut down by .004 percent.
The fans will sit in the cold and rain? The night before many will have to be up for Easter services and a family day? Who CARES? This is television, people!!!
We are barfly's there. Nice one mile walk to/from dinner. We know every bartender and manager there. The original in Hawaii Kai is even better, but requires a car ride.
Rufus, I'm envious of your Hawaiiness. It sounds great.
How about that Camilo? What a great pickup by the Genius. Well, at least today I get to watch the Easter game. It'll only be 7:00 tonight when it's on.
It is slightly warmer than Germany this time of year.
In less favorable news for me,it appears HAL's henchmen have blocked my IPTV YES feed. And nobody cares about the swordfish, so their channel isn't even listed.

So, you’re talkin’ ‘bout the Weathers, Hoss.
DeleteI am reasonably sure that it has something to do with putting more money into HAL's bank account.
DeleteLet’s let Weathers pitch count go up to 90 in 4 innings. Yeah that’s the way - that’s the plan.
ReplyDeleteI apologize - 88 pitches
DeleteNow these are the Yankees of yore
ReplyDelete(2025)
Jeff Nelson is on the Marlins TV broadcast.
ReplyDeleteIs he lost?
DeleteConfused?
Yankees canned him. That's where he landed.
DeleteGood golly
ReplyDeleteOh and hello Rufus. How are you and the Misses doing ?
ReplyDeleteEnjoying retirement.

ReplyDelete!
Hello everyone, I sincerely hope that all of you are still alive out there!
ReplyDeleteRe Roy’s: went there years ago. Excellent. Re Doval: (& speaking of Hawaii) I think we just refer to him as the Pineapple from here on in.

DeleteChisholm
ReplyDeleteBut still in Hawaii. It is baseball season. Everyone knows that people need to be on the continent!
ReplyDeleteI'm still hoping the minor league Pacific Islanders come back.
DeleteHaven't been to a university of HI game in decades. I should do that at least. The upside to baseball here is it's a morning or afternoon thing.
Blown save territory…
ReplyDeleteDreadful….
ReplyDeleteWoo hoo, I guess
ReplyDeleteYankees Win!!!
ReplyDeleteNice. Gutsy effort by Bednar, after losing that challenge.
ReplyDeleteWe got spoiled when Mo was around…
ReplyDeleteYes ! Thank You ! May I have another, please ?!?
ReplyDeleteBednar is more Wetteland than Rivera
ReplyDeleteAt least he’s marginally bednar than other recent closers
DeleteAttaboy, AA!
