    1. Which is more boring? Watching the Yankees, golf, bowling, or paint drying?

    2. Carl, that’s a tough choice.

    3. Hey, I like bowling and golf, selectively. Better than the one-hot wonders.

  6. McMahon should request a stint in the minors to improve his game. He won’t, nor will the team ask him to.

  7. After 4 innings, the Yankees with 1 hit and 5 whiffs. They'll hit their daily average of double-digit K's and futile hitting. If they don't alter the roster, this will be a daily outcome.

  8. Grichuk, 0-2 today and 0- the season. What a fucking joke this team and entire organization has become!

  9. Today's lineup features the Yankees new "Murderers Row": Grichuk, Escarra, McMahon and Caballero! The 1927 Yankees, a century removed!

  10. A sorry excuse for a lineup.

  11. Off topic, I have to say it:
    Let’s stop the right wing bullshit of playing the witless travelogue God Bless America during the 7th inning stretch. And why remove your caps? Drop your pants and bend over would be more apt.

  12. One run in, two on, nobody out. ONE more run. Clutch hitting.

    Then immediately cough up a triple.

    Painful

  14. Has Kay finally stopped the "rally in their bones" shit? Credit this offense for at least that.

  15. Going out on a limb but I think Jazz’s 50/50 prediction is in jeopardy…

  17. McMahon ends it by swinging at the first pitch. If he’s in such a hurry to get out of there, we should accommodate him. We won’t bc of his contract.

  18. .114 and you don't pinch hit for him 😵‍💫😤

  19. Goldschmidt's a coach, I guess.

    Just read that Boone is under .500 against AL East in his managing career. Can that possibly be true?

    1. Not much else to do so I ran the numbers: He is 279-224 vs the AL East for a WP of .555, which is less than his overall WP of .583, leaving his WP vs all but the AL East at .603. By the year:
      2018- ALE-.579, MLB-.617, NALE- .651;
      2019- ALE-.711, MLB-.636, NALE-.570;
      2020- ALE-.575, MLB-.550, NALE-.500
      2021- ALE-.474, MLB-.568, NALE-.651
      2022- ALE-.618, MLB-.611, NALE-.605
      2023- ALE-.423, MLB-.506, NALE-.545
      2024- ALE-.500, MLB-.580, NALE-.618
      2025- ALE-.519, MLB-.680, NALE-.609
      2026- ALE-.000, MLB-.533, NALE-.667

      We can definitely complain about roster construction, but when the same roster construction trends much worse against the teams you play against for nearly 1/3 of your schedule even after the balancing of the last few years, that is a managerial problem. Therefore Boone is a bigger liability than Cashman. Now when you consider that Cashman hired and continues to retain Boone, that puts them back on equal footing so fire them both.

      PS Boone's record against the individual teams in the ALE is:
      BAL - .632
      BOS - .552
      TB - .500
      TOR - .536

  20. Specifically for keeping Goldschmidt glued to bench, or generally?

  21. As Fred Allen said about Jack Benny, Boone was born stupid and he's been losing ground ever since.

  22. So a friend had very good tickets to the Mets today and treated me. It was very relaxing, sitting out in the sun and watching the Mets fail to score a single run.

    Of course, there was the scoreboard...

    A's rampaged through New York. And it occurs to me that both local teams don't have what it takes to beat younger, better constructed, hungrier teams.
