  1. Above Average, great idea and photos. What more can be said. I was at a concert and got to watch the travesty on my DVR. Spent Grishom (22.5 million,) Mr. %0-50 Chishom and Austin Smells, cannot hit lefties. Ryan McFan, also has his difficulties. He got to watch the game from the bench.

  5. Peralta starting to look like Rodon.

  6. McMahon looks like he’s doing us a favor by jogging to first.

  7. Jones strikes out on the same fucking pitch…

    1. An actual clutch hit?

And his average is over the Mendoza line?

  10. I just got the game back on tv.

    That means they'll lose.

Better go do some yard work.

  11. Our crack bullpen, at it again.

    Or is that smoking crack?

  12. Walks. Pitchers get really wild when they get wild.

  13. Bednar good for giving up a run or two…

  14. Brenda in heart attack form.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Bednar's a worthless piece of shit.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Now how long will it take the brain trust to figure out that he isn't a closer?

    ReplyDelete
  17. Only his second blown save.

    ReplyDelete
  18. But too much reliance on off speed stuff for a closer.

    ReplyDelete
  19. X inning on road guaranteed loss

    ReplyDelete
  20. They got to revisit this Bednar thing…

  21. OMFG a minor league hitter up

  22. Just bring up 4-5 guys from the minors. Can’t be any worse than this shitshow. .

  23. Great Bunting decision there by AI'ron Boone

    ReplyDelete
  24. Is there any point watching the extra inning we all know what will happen Yankees try to hit a 5 run homer Mets bunt

    ReplyDelete
  25. Wells swings at the first fucking pitch, doesn’t give Volpe a chance to run

    ReplyDelete
  26. Well, that was a brilliant inning.

    ReplyDelete
  27. If this team had any balls, Wells would be gone tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I'm not watching, that's for sure. They couldn't even hold any one-run lead they might take.

  29. This just gets better and better the worse it gets !

  30. Genius defensive formation.

    ReplyDelete

    1. Stan and Ollie are funny that wasn't that is the difference

    2. More keystone kops.

Really not the players fault though, since I'm sure it was never discussed, let alone practiced.

  33. Oh that Volpe. Wiped out his very good night.

  34. Instead of the June Swoon, we get the May Decay.

  35. The Yankees don't have an MLB-ready catcher who can hit at least .210 and not strike out 40% of the time like Wells? There's a reason why Escarra was a truck driver until age 29. This organization is fucking horrible. Cashman is right at the top. Bring up ZZ Top Lagrange already!

    1. Remember a view short years ago, they were supposed to be overloaded with catchers in the minors?

      Delete
  36. The team cannot be criticized enough over this loss

    ReplyDelete
  37. Freedom's just another word for nothing left to lose...

    ReplyDelete
  38. A metaphor for the Yankees organization.

Jeez, would be nice to have a serviceable closer, like say one of the guys jettisoned by the Yankees that are on the Mets? Nah!

ANYONE left to pinch hit for Wells? Nah!

Any clue as to what to actually do with 5 infielders? After all that was the brilliant move by the puppet? Nah!

    Fuck them all.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Cashman’s roster construction with a $300M payroll is nothing short of criminal. Yet he has a job for life.

    Fuck cashman
    Fuck Steinbrenner
    Fuck boone

  40. Want to hear something cool? We were on the F train coming into Manhattan a few hours ago when we saw a ballplayer in full uniform sitting on the train. An actual Coney Island Cyclone taking the subway to Coney Island. He was on for two stops before transferring to a Coney Island bound train while we continued into Gotham. His name was Vargas - I believe a shortstop - yes, I looked him up - and he actually got up to give his seat to the mother of a kid wearing a Mets cap. When was the last time you saw an actual pro or semi-pro get on the train to go to a game? I wish the Staten Island Yankees still existed, but they are gone, probably at Hal's directive. The Cyclones are fun, though, and their stadium is small and intime, as we say in gay Paris.

  41. boone was gone from the post game presser in about 45 secs. Not sure if YES edited it.

  42. So, in 7 games, the team will hit the 1/3 mark of the season. Between Wells and Escarra, they have a combined 27hits. 27 HITS!!!
Tampa, with 1/3 the Yankees' payroll, complete with no-name players, leads the AL in batting and the East by 3 games. Is there no sense of shame by Cashman, Hal, or anyone in this bloated and inept organization? Too bad this team doesn't play in the Nippon Professional Baseball League, because just maybe these guys would consider Hari-Kari.

  43. It's my fault. I shook Mookie Wilson's hand today. I did. I was moderating panels at something called the Gold Coast Book Fair in Oyster Bay, Long Island, and Mookie was there, pushing a barbecue book or something.

I asked him if he would've beaten Bob Stanley to the bag. He said yes, you'll be surprised to learn.

Hey, seemed like a thoroughly nice guy. I was happy to meet. Beat watching the Yankees game.

  44. David Bednar = "Branded Diva" and the anagram list is so long I will simply post it here: https://wordsmith.org/anagram/anagram.cgi?anagram=davidbednar&t=500&a=n

  45. Of course, NONE of this helps us now in our situation. And what have they done for US lately? THE FANS. The owners think it's all about themselves. The players are all about the money, which is understandable. But where are they without fans??? What do they do without US? They cannot exist in a vacuum. No team is an island - except the Rockies, maybe, and the Expos. We need representation. They need to be reminded that, without us, there is no them. Am I making myself clear?
