Pirates are a great hitting team now. Cole did a reasonably good job. Though the two homer was a killer. Obviously, mathematically zero chance of winning when you never score a run.
If the Buccos had to do it over again, I think they'd rather let Rice walk. Then go after Jones. I never could figure out why pitchers do that. They pitch around a guy for the first three pitches and it's 3 balls, no strikes. Then they throw two straight hittable pitches. What the fuck?
Wiki says Col. Tom Parker was an illegal alien. Is that true?
Dunderhead Trump missed out on a golden opportunity this World Cup. He could've arrested everyone in the World Cup tournament final. Claim they were all illegal aliens. Shake down their governments for $500 mil a pop. Steal the trophy and claim it's his by default. Straight out of an Austin Powers movie.
Yeah, no surprises in this one. They're so predictable. If the Bucs had just pitched more carefully to Rice, Yankees probably get shut out or lose 3-1 in 9 innings. Rice only prolonged the agony.

ReplyDeleteBalk boy. Doesn't matter why, you balk, you balk.
ReplyDeleteAmazing, he got out of it.
ReplyDeleteI was expectin' a cave-in there.
DeleteLooks like it ain't gonna matter. The bastards are gettin' shut out in game 1.
ReplyDeleteJust what Cole needed, a stupid, meaningless distraction courtesy of Caballero and his idiot pitch clock games.
ReplyDeleteLights out in da Bronks!
ReplyDeleteMr Meatball strikes again.

ReplyDeleteCole is starting to pitch really well. Except for these pesky gofer balls. When you can't score runs, these home runs are killers.
ReplyDeleteRice!!!!!
ReplyDeleteBen Rice cooks up some fried rice!
ReplyDeleteThe Kernel!

ReplyDeleteWe're caught in a trap
DeleteI can't walk out
Because I love you too much, baby

ReplyDeleteBednar crapping the bed.
ReplyDeleteCeiling once again lookin' like its bowing in.
ReplyDeleteThey escape catastrophe, by the skin of their teeth.
ReplyDeleteBattlin' Bronx Bastards better score in the 9th. They suck extra special at extra inning games.
ReplyDeleteRice, nice play.
ReplyDeleteOne thing Grisham does besides the home runs, he does draw walks. Another reason why Brainless Cashman is ga-ga for Grisham.
ReplyDeleteMan alive, the Yankees suck at hitting. Here come extra innings. A real long shot for the Yankees. they suck at extra innings.
ReplyDeleteCruz doesn't look good.
ReplyDeleteGood night, Irene.
ReplyDeleteBucs did something Yanks could never do. They got a single with a runner in scoring position.
ReplyDeleteAnd there goes the game!
ReplyDeletePretty long leash for a guy who's struggling, eh?
ReplyDeleteBoone.
DeleteWho the heck is Castro?
ReplyDeleteJust up from SWB
DeleteThis one’s as good as over.
ReplyDeleteThey're crapping the bed
ReplyDeleteThey lost the first game
What a shame, a shame, a shame
In the Bronx, New York
The bed we done crapped
DeleteI still got the trots

1-6 now in extras
ReplyDeleteThese little town blues
ReplyDeleteAre draining my brain
I'm gonna make a brand new start of it
Ex-com-mu-ni-ca-ting Ba-Boone
They couldn’t even get the meaningless x-runner in.
ReplyDeleteTypical Yankee offense. All runs scored on one swing, the other AB’s were mostly weak, to the point of being non-competitive.
This is such an easy to hate. I’m like Robby the Robot when asked to shoot someone. My circuits are all crossed and I don’t know what to do,
1-10 with RISP
ReplyDeleteThe Yankees get what they deserve.

ReplyDeleteNot a great throw but certainly nothing you could expect Volpe to come up with.
ReplyDeleteVolpe is unplayable. This must stop.
ReplyDeleteDa Battlin' Bronx Bastards finally score a run
ReplyDeleteAmazing what can happen when you run hard the whole way instead of jogging.
ReplyDelete+1
DeleteBellinger proves he can score on a double
ReplyDeleteIt's easier for a vampire hunter who can't stand the sight of blood to stake a vampire than for the Yankees to score a run.
ReplyDeleteHoly shit, Will Warren to pitch the 9th!
ReplyDeleteForetold in the game thread photo illustration
DeleteAnd here comes the collapse!
ReplyDeletePretty hairy situation here
ReplyDeleteShit, Jazz Chisholm strikes again.
ReplyDeleteYankees Win!!!
ReplyDeleteWow, the gambling establishment must've wanted the out call!
ReplyDeleteWhat’s with Yankee infielders throwing the damn ball?
ReplyDeletePeanut butter and honey on the ball
DeleteMaybe?
ReplyDeleteYup
ReplyDeleteSure looked safe to me, but I'll take it: woo hoo!
ReplyDeleteThat was a terrible call. Wasn't close. Take the W, I guess, but wow. If that happens in October there'll be hell to pay.
