Tuned in when it was already 6-2 Yankees. What the hell is going on? How is this happening? I can still hear the Master's voice: That's baseball, Suzyn.
By the way, before today's game, Austin Wells became the second player in MLB history (next to VolpE6) to have at least 1000 AB with a .285 or lower OBP. And both are currently on the same Yankees 26 man major league roster. Brilliant roster construction, Cashman....brilliant!! And yet sports announcers like "Giant Head" Kay will continue to claim, as he did, that " If the Yankees let Cashman go at the end of the season, there would be at least 10 teams lining up for his services." Sure they would.
Unfortunately, splitting with TB only serves to give Cashman/boone and the whole rotten organization more cover to continue what they’ve been doing. We’d have been better served had they been swept.

Another shit lineup goes quietly in the first.
ReplyDeleteWell, it could be worse. Somehow. I guess.
ReplyDeleteZoilo begs to differ.
DeleteBullpen game going like we thought…
ReplyDeleteAbout Judge...as I understand his injury, throwing and hitting are the big offenders. Swinging a bat is as problematic as anything else.
ReplyDeletePlease correct if I got that wrong.
Yeah, everything is a problem for him. That explains why he was hitting so poorly this year.
DeleteMcMahon has a hell of an at bat.
ReplyDeleteWe actually have a lead…
ReplyDeleteHome Run Derby preview—
ReplyDeleteBy the way - WHERE’S SUZYN ?
(remember everyone….you can’t lose them all)
10 more runs & this game might be Doval-proofed.
ReplyDeleteThis is weird. Infield hits, stealing bases, line drives...who are these guys?
ReplyDeleteSince Hal has daddy issues around "FIRING" Boone maybe he can be persuaded to gently "replace" him.
ReplyDeleteHow would you see that happening, Doug? I’m genuinely curious.
DeleteSign Wells to that six year extension !
ReplyDeleteYou know - THAT one. . .
Blackburn and Bird pitching with dead arms tonight
ReplyDeleteTake your broken wings and learn to fly
Back to Scranton into the light of the black PA sky
Doval is in to blow the lead…

ReplyDeleteGod, Doval is completely worthless.

Rice 2!
ReplyDeleteOh my God.
ReplyDeleteEvery fly ball to Dominguez is an adventure…
ReplyDeleteTuned in just in time to see Jazz hit into an inning-ending DP. What a guy.
ReplyDeleteI kid, I kid. Looks like everything is...in hand?
We'll see.
Doval has already made his disastrous appearance, so we should win this.
ReplyDeleteYankees Win!!!

ReplyDeleteWinning any game in which Doval AND Bird pitch is a monumental achievement.
ReplyDeleteWho's the leader of the gang that's made for you and me?
ReplyDeleteAaron Boone, Brian C, and little Hal make 3!
