  1. Well, if Schlitter continues his habit of limiting opponents to just 1 run, the Yankees a chance.

  2. Question to the NYC folks on the site. I am going to be headed into enemy territory to go see a Mets game at Citi Field. What’s the best way to travel there from Central New York? I’ve been able to avoid actually driving in the city for my 61 years, but am not ruling it out. Debating driving all the way in, or driving to Poughkeepsie or White Plains and taking the train to Grand Central then to Citi. Also was thinking about doing a bus trip to the game from the Albany area, then just not using the tickets from the bus company (we’ve already got the tickets). Thoughts?

  3. As they say in Maine, you an't get there from here.

Don't know about the bus, but I'd say the train from Grand Central is pretty good. LIRR, only takes a few minutes. Check the schedules, and it's a pain finding your way around down there, so give yourself plenty of time, but they do have people showing you the way to your track.

Subway is fine but takes forever! Driving...don't know. Haven't owned a car since 1978.

    1. Thanks, Hoss! I’m thinking parking at Poughkeepsie, White Plains or one of the other Metro North stops, taking that to Grand Central and then the LIRR to Citi. I’m a little more worried about how long it’ll take to get back after the game. I really have to check the schedules.

    2. Bern

the LIRR has direct service from Grand Central Madison in Manhattan to the Mets-Willets Point Station, which is a short walk from Citi Field. The trip on the Port Washington Branch takes about 19 to 20 minutes
