International League bulletin...in tje deciding game three of the Governors' Cup series the RailRiders started a young man who spent all year at A and AA. Elmer Rodriguez-Cruz had a great year, admittedly, but last week he got a AAA start, his first and only, and got beat up. Nevertheless, he started in the deciding game. Sean Boyle, next in tje normal rotation, had a good year at AAA. But we didnt see him until the starter got yanked. Too late, almost certainly. Elmer dudn't get out of the first. 5 earned. Jacksonville broadcasters were ridiculing poor Shelley Duncan, relentlessly mocking his decision I on to start inexperienced Elmer in such a big game. Little do they realize Duncan likely had zero influence on the decision. Big Yankee had Elmer penciled in for some work. That's that. IL championship game?Who cares?
