Weaver To Yankees: "Climb On My Back."

Idle Bombers gain half a game; Ex-teammate Jeff Weaver steps up when they need him the most.

Torre: "It's all about making something happen. We have to continue to try to make something happen and make something positive happen. Hopefully, Jeff is that guy that can get it going for us."

  2. Jeff's comeback for the Mariners is better than getting an ace at the trade deadline, because all Seattle had to give up were those 6 hiccups earlier this season. When it counts, Jeff is THERE! And where's the Rocket? Sent to the bullpen, that's where!

  3. In my native country, making something happen and making good things happen is the basis for many arguments and shootings.

  4. We never should have let Weaver go. That's the trouble with the Yankees. Make one itty-bitty mistake, and you're outahere.
