The Case for Miggy

In "The Wizard of Oz," Dorothy traveled to a far-off land only to find that everything she really needed was in her own back yard.

To replace A-Rod, could the Yanks learn a lesson from her?

Why not! At 34, Miguel Cairo is one of the game's premier buntsmiths and a true leatherman of the field. In 2006, Miggy led the AL in Productive Out Average, recording 17 productive outs in 32 productive out situations!

That's a productive out superstar!

Miggy would be the first person to tell you that last year's HR production -- 0 -- was lower than he'd like. But he worked an intentional walk, the 8th of his career! Somebody on the mound is scared of him.
