Yes, Julio Franco can be snapped up, probably at a reasonable cost, to solve our third-base woes. Remember, the Yanks love milestones, and Julio will reach a major one in 2008. He'll turn 50 years old - and what better way to do it than in a Yankee uniform?
Don't think he can play third base? Check this out. He played his first game at third base in 1982; his last, in 2007.
Over the course of those 26 seasons, he has never made an error at third base. You can look it up. Two games in 1982, three in 2006, two more in 2007. Twenty-six years, seven games, no errors.
Perfection, people. This is perfection.
