Why even play the games?

They must have taken up sniffing glue for Lent at SI.com. Here's the headline over another Johan Santana psalm: "The Savior of Port St. Lucie"

Wait until "The Savior" gives up four dingers in a row at Shea in April. (He's horrible in April and May, ask any Twins fan. Mets fans aren't like Twins fans. In Minnesota, panic sets in when your snowmobile runs out of gas on lake No. 8,300 in the middle of ice-fishing season or your kid loses your favorite walleye lure in mid-July. In New York, panic sets in when as you give up a home run in the first inning of the first game of the first year of Santana's bazillion-dollar deal.)

    Word on the street is that unless the Yankees win March 4 in Texas, they should pull out of the race.
