Nettles out of surgery: Let's hope they got it all

Ed Price has it: Graig escapes Sloan-Kettering tomorrow after a six-hour cancer operation.

Nettles delayed the surgery so he wouldn't miss spring training.

I hope everybody on the staff goes in tonight and asks him for an autograph.

    Nettles owns one of the great quotes of all time about the Yanks in the 70s: "When I was a little boy I wanted to be a baseball player and join the circus. With the Yankees, I've accomplished both."
