EXCLUSIVE: We're 3 over .500, and Boston has no pen

BALLGAME OVER...

SEASON OVER...

THE YANKEES WIN... THU-UHHH... YANKEES WIN

Bank on it. Refinance your house, call Countrywide, the subprime thing, whatever, and go to Vegas. Put it on the Yanks. Because we are now 3 games above .500, and even though the Redsocks won today, they're crying in their beer, because their bullpen can't hold a lead.

Okijima is toast. Batters lay off his trick pitches. He walks them. Or they hit him.
They have no bridge to Papelbomb.

But it's worse. Papelbomb cannot hold a lead. He had two outs, two strikes, on some Shelly Duncanesque bum from Cinncinati today. He gave up a game-tying HR, then nearly hyperventilated another Midwest tornado.
Craig Hanson is a nutjob, Farnsworth on ecstacy. Manny Delacarmen? Hell, let Manny be Manny. He's Manny Delacarmen, for keericesakes.

Breaking: We are six games out of first.
Six games.
Do you believe it?
Six games.
Three over .500.
Three in a row.
Six games.
Three in a row.
THIS IS GOING TO BE THE GREATEST YANKEE TEAM EVER! WOO-HOO.

  1. You mean HBO is not gonna make the epic movie ".500" about the 2008 Yankees?

    - the Everly Bros.

The flatulent socks still beat the Reds, even though Papeljerk blew it...

This team will soon, telecommute its way back to .500.

I can see it in the stars.
