Major League Scout Checks Out Yankee Prospects

The Yankee farm system has drawn a great deal of attention by major league teams anxious to trade for "high ceiling " prospects and, therefore, cement their chances for a World series run this year.

Our Candid Camera caught Chicago Cubs' scout Ramon Blethering, who has been watching Ian Kennedy workout in Tampa.

" Once he hit 45 mph with that cutter, I knew we had a pitcher of interest, " said Ramon. " If he can get through 3 innings with fewer than four walks, I think we might have a place for him in Wrigley."

In general, Mr. Blethering reflects everyone's excitement for the talent in the Yankees' minor league system.
