Yankees Blow Trade Bait

I knew it.  I just knew it.

Exposing Ian Kennedy to the major leagues again has tarnished his reputation with slime, incompetence and uselessness.  He has to learn a new position, or go into retail.

A major league manager, who chose not to be identified to this IIH, IIF, IIc reporter, said;

" If  I had Ian Kennedy at AAA, pitching with an era under 3.00 for the last several weeks, I would have packaged him for any draft pick above 40th. He woulda had ( from me ) a plane ticket in his bag at all times.  It could have gone pretty much anywhere.

It was crazy to let him pitch.  He has no out pitch. He is what we used to call guys in the Independent league who had nothing, " a batting practice machine."  He is also good for opposing teams who wish to train young hitters to be patient.....because his balls come in so slowly to begin with, that they fall to below the knees due to gravity."  If you wait,  you walk.

If he throws a strike, it has no action, no "weight," and no pace, so you can cream it.  Roy White would still be a .300 hitter against this guy.  Even with a coctail in his off hand."

"Now, I wouldn't give you Eric Duncan for the guy.  Even that fat guy from Baltimore ...you know, the one that goes up and down to AAA every week........is ten times better ( see Chris Britton ).

" Just shows you...the Twins had no idea what they were doing when they asked for Hughes, Kennedy and Melky....that woulda been the steal of the century."

Instead, the Yankees are toast.
