I would like to suggest a contest for selecting a new nickname for the Yankees. Do they still deserve being known as the "Bronx Bonbers"????
You can offer a prize such as tickets to the next Yankee playoff game, which should guarantee that by the time that happens, everyone will have forgotten about the contest and the prize.
I would like to send in the first entry - coined by my wife: "THE BRONX BUMMERS"

I think "Bronx Bombers" is still applicable, because boy did they ever bomb.
