Abe Lincoln Calls Nancy Reagan to Apologize for Obama Crack

Aides say former First Lady Nancy Reagan chatted on the phone for nearly an hour Sunday with ex-president Abe Lincoln, who patched up inflamatory remarks made Friday by Barack Obama.

During a news conference, Obama told reporters he "didn't want to get into a Nancy Reagan thing about, you know, doing any seances," a crack that was promptly condemned by all who recall the beloved former First Lady's eight-year reign in the White House.

Mrs. Reagan said Lincoln assured her that the president-elect was not being "sassy," and she vowed to play the lucky numbers Lincoln suggested in her next visit to the Mohegan Sun Resort and Casino.

  1. I would comment but Nancy's astral body is probably watching me.
