All of Baseball World Supporting Angels Tonight in Game Against Redsocks

Let's hope for a Bobby Murcer/Thurman Munson moment tonight, where the emotional home team rises to its Hollywood conclusion, maybe in extra innings, perhaps crawling back from a six or seven run lead and a beanball war to win the game that shall never be forgotten as long as publicists drink lunches.

Aww, please don't get the wrong idea here. The death of that rookie is horrible. We're not trying to gain from it, even though that's what the Redsock Nation would do. We're not going to call for the wives of Redsock players to be humiliated or offended, even though that's what the Redsock Nation does... proudly.

No, we just say that in the ways of Hollywood -- and maybe humankind -- there is a season unto everything, a time to mourn, a time for peace, a time for hope, a time for war, a time to cast away stones -- and hell, maybe one of those stones happens to hit Youkilis in the jaw and, well -- there is a time to take it out on the visiting team. Which is the Redsocks. Let's go, Angels. Are you really Hollywood's team?

  1. The California/Anaheim/Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim/Orange County/Southern California? Yeah, I think their name has Hollywood covered somewhere in there.

  3. Tito is as old school as Torre. They will definitely throw the game so the home team wins.

  4. Good for Boston on throwing that game. Now it's time for them to show why they are the best and most gracious team in all of sports. Throw the whole series, Boston!
