In Florida, Wanting To Win Is Suddenly A Crime

The coach of a Tampa Bay-area high school baseball team has been temporarily sidelined while authorities investigate the ritual killing and burial of a snake on the school’s field in an effort to end the team’s losing streak.

Palm Harbor University baseball coach Jeremy Albrecht told his team that they were “snake bitten” following a 9-9 season. In response, players allegedly purchased a snake during spring break, killed it with a shovel and buried it on the pitcher’s mound; however, school officials say that digging up portions of the ball field has turned up nothing.

  1. I'm glad the coach didn't think his team was baby bitten or little old lady bitten.

The only thing wrong with this is that they had to go buy a snake,,,in Florida no less.

The joint is over-run with snakes.

If they go catch themselves a rattler or
python ( caution advised, in both cases ), and ritual bury it in their field, their losing streak will end.

Either that, or there will be an opening on the team.

  3. I just wanted to say thanks for reminding me about the Don't Tread on Me flag. I wasted an hour of my life last night creating a desktop wallpaper, since Nike didn't make any useful ones during their ad campaign for USA Soccer.
