New York Politics Made Easy

1. U.S. Rep. John Sweeney from Albany arrested for DWI with woman sitting on lap.

2. Democrat nobody Kristen Gillibrand beats Sweeney in 2006 election.

3. Gov. Eliot Spitzer resigns after being caught with high-priced prostitute wearing socks to knees.

4. New Gov. David Paterson takes over.

5. Paterson appoints Gillibrand to U.S. Senate.

6. Election to fill Gillibrand's seat too close to call.

6. Former U.S. Rep. John Sweeney arrested this week for DWI. (This time, no woman on lap.)

7. Spitzer goes on national TV to explain kinky needs.

8. Yanks open new stadium.
