Can Pappi Beat DiMaggio's 56-game Streak?

As the days grow longer, pressure is growing on David Ortiz to stay homerless. He's now 20 games behind DiMaggio.

Where have you gone David Ortiz. The Nation turns its lonely eyes to you.

Boo-hoo-hoo.

  1. It's amazing he just smashing through the record books.

During yesterdays' loss to the angels he left 12 men on base, breaking the AL record. www.baseball-almanac.com/recbooks/left_on_base_records.shtml

  2. No steroids there. Nope, no chance. The amazing power surge over the Twinkies days was just from diet and exercise. The breakdowns the last couple of years can be explained by his new turf shoes.

  3. I'm confused. Is this the single season record or are we including games from last year? I mean do they riot in Kenmore Square if he breaks the record over two seasons? It would be like celebrating that you won the wildcard, so I wouldn't put it past them.

Is this a situation were there could be TWO riots in Kenmore Square? If so, would the police be required to kill someone during each riot or just the ultimate breaking the single season record.

I need to call my pasty white friends in the burbs to come in for the festivities and they need to plan ahead so they can be properly drunk for the occasion.

  4. They would have to kill to set a record. That's my ruling.

  5. Duque, they killed in in K square already. How do they break that record? Two dead?
