Tough Start for Joba Sunday: Has anybody mentioned that it was Mother's Day?

Yeeesh.

They covered the broken blood vessel on his thumb as if it were a topless video of Michelle Obama, beaming live from a Victoria's Secret changing cubicle.

Has anybody wondered if the kid was just conflicted over the arrest of his mom?

He must have called her that morning. (I don't know how close they are, but you call your mom on Mother's Day.)

Frankly, for all the disruptions in his dislocated life, Joba Chamberlain might just become the heart and soul of this team. In fact, he might already be.

    Good call, duque. You might be right. His two "bad" starts were the day after Jobamom's bust, and Mother's Day.
