Iranians, fed up with trying to spell Ahmadinejad, cite Yank playbook on Mientkiewicz, Albaladejo

Tehran _ Millions of Arab schoolchildren, backed by Western journalists and bloggers, demanded Tuesday that the Iranian government ditch its current leader, whose goddamm name nobody outside of his mom and dad has ever been able to spell. Across the above throng, note that no banners list the president's name, because protesters have better things to do than carry spelling dictionaries everywhere they go.

Cited in speeches throughout Tuesday were the fates of former Yankees Doug Mientkiewicz and Jonathan Albaladejo. Neither played as badly as some of their shorter-named replacements. But fans and team brass grew goddamm sick and tired of wasting ink, so they were sent packing...
