Best line of the day in American sportswriting... from Mr. William Rhoden

(No relation to Rick, I hope.)

Ruminating on the matter of Curtis Granderson's admirable desire to serve as a role model for youth.

"You can make the case that players like Granderson represents the ideal of the citizen athlete. But just when you’re prepared to go down this road, to shower praise on an athlete who seems to get it, an image of Tiger Woods leaps out as a cautionary reminder. We have to stop naming buildings after human beings — especially after athletes — until their careers have run their course."
