The Mystery Continues - Baseball America Favors "Hoffmann" By Two To One Margin

Baseball America's article on the Rule 5 Draft refers to "Hoffmann" in the headline, but reverts to "Hoffman" in the text before returning to "Hoffmann" later in the article.

So in a split decision, it's Hoffmann.

However, with El Duque's most recent use of "Hoffman", the overall score is tied at Hoffmann 5, Hoffman 5.

Jamie?!?

  1. El Duque is a fine baseball blogger -- one of the best -- but he is never to be consulted on matters of spelling.

  2. Should the same be said about the NY Post? I wasn't too concerned about El Duque's spelling, but when I saw an established commercial journalistic enterprise waffling on the subject, I thought WTF is going on here?
