YANKEES TO EL DUQUE:
"WE CAN'T AFFORD LACKEY!"


This site's most prolific blogger, El Duque, has been beating the drum for the Yankees to acquire the expensive John Lackey. And when I say beating the drum, I mean beating the drum like a four-year old with a brand-new drumkit. Check the site. He's all over the place with this. But the cash-strapped Yankees today declared, "We're not even sure we can spring for a left fielder and a reliever."

    If every Yankee fan who reads this blog gave a thousand dollars to the Yankees, we could afford Lackey, Holliday and Jason Bay.
