SNOBS TAKE BRONX

Yankee Stadium to host wine tasting.
Later this month, Sonoma-Cutrer Wines will host a wine tasting at NYY Steak, in the latest showcase of Yankee Stadium's offseason capabilities. When the Steinbrenner family first began drawing up plans for the new Yankee Stadium, they envisioned a facility that could be used year-round for concerts, non-baseball sporting events and other occasions.

Sonoma-Cutrer's event, to be held Jan. 26, is yet another example of that vision come to fruition. The wine tasting, which includes a cocktail hour and a five-course dinner, is the final event that winemaker Terry Adams will host before retirement.

  3. Everyone who attends should be required to contribute to a Bring Back Johnny fund.
Readers of this blog obviously won't be invited, but maybe we can organize a bake sale.
