On the surface, the Yankee Manager of the Decade Award should be a straightforward choice between Joe Torre's one World Series championship, three AL pennants, eight postseason appearances and dashing good looks, and Joe Giradi's magical 2009 season and his heroic Good Samaritan act that followed.
But life is rarely that simple. Are there other Yankee managers who should be on the ballot? Minor league managers? Former managers who worked with Yankee players during spring training in the aughts? Equipment managers?
You guys and gals are the experts. Nominations, please!
Luis Sojo, who got the Series-winning RBI in 2000, and managed the Yankees' Double-A Norwich Navigators to their first Eastern League Championship in 2002.
