Will the Braves steal our Yankee back-plots?

If they sign Johnny Damon -- for a pitiful $4 million as is rumored -- check out the Yankee backstories in their lineup. (Keep in mind that they dealt the biggest of them, Javy Vanquished, back to us.)

Derek Lowe, RHP -- Redsock nemesis of 2004
.
Billy Wagner, RHP -- Met closer whom we've always owned; almost got him last year.
.
Michael Dunn, LHP -- our farmhand, was to become next Phil Coke
.
Troy Glaus, 3B -- MVP of 2002 Angels playoffs debacle, which ended our run
.
Melky Cabrera, OF -- Melky
.
Eric Hinske, OF -- big hits down the stretch for us last year.
.
.
Of course, some of us are old enough to remember manager Bobby Cox playing 3B. But that's ancient history.
