In sign of progress, Javy Vazquez last year moved from giving up grand slams to only three-run shots

Yankee fans can breathe a sigh of relief about newly reacquired pitcher Javier Vazquez, whom they may recall giving up the game-ending, series-ending, season-ending, pride-ending, curse-ending, dynasty-ending, Yankee life-ending grand-slam to Johnny Damon in the 2004 American League Championships.

According to our good friends, the evil scientists at Was Watching, Javy has upgraded his game considerably while in Atlanta.

He's now known for 3-run blasts.

At this rate, by 2015, he'll only serve bases-empty shots.
