According to Michael Kay on the YES broadcast, Obama shook everybody's hand and had a little one sentence or so tidbit to say to each player. Nobody actually responded and engaged the president in a conversation, however- except for John Sterling. He said "I just want to let you know that I voted for you," (gee, good one John) to which Obama replied "Thank you." Sterling responded, "No, thank YOU." As always, quite the character.
