SOS to Yankeeverse: Help us solve "The mystery of Trembley"

This one has me tea-bagged. What is John singing?

  1. It's "Here Comes Santa Claus" no?

Just how Sterling equates Baltimore,Trembley or baseball in April to Christmas? Well you'd have to be a genius like Sterling to see the connection.

  2. I agree with Jeers. It sounds like "Here Comes Santa Claus" but I don't see the connection. This is a bigger mystery than E=MC^2

  3. It can't be "Here comes Santa Claus." That makes no sense. There is something else going on.

Frankly, I'm disappointed in the Yankiverse.

  4. I was actually going to comment on this- is he making a fat joke? Wow Sterling, way to stay classy...

  5. Trembly is a transvestite in Baltimore with a huge out-of-town following. Trembly, known as Shaky Sue while performing, was born in the same hometown as John Sterling. The fact that Trembly has the same name as a current Baltimore player is pure coincidence.

The tune itself, while resembling " blah, blah, blah blah, .......down Santa Claus lane..." actually diverges from the famous Christmas season tune during the last two bars of John's rendition.

If you listen carefully to John, you will note that he actually missed a b-flat near the end of the ditty
( was he diverted himself by the ballgame ?), or we would never have confused the tune with it's Xmas "sister."

If you want verification, go to the " Cage Au Folles " lounge near James street, in downtown Baltimore.

It is clear to me that john has been there more than a few times. Only people who have been there have ever heard the entire score.
