Beware The Ides Of May

I've got a full bottle of Hera Dura Anejo (gold), a shaker of sea salt, two fine limes and a case of Utica Club. Also, there will be at my side assorted chips, salsa and warmed, soft flour tortillas.

I plan to watch Javier Vasquez put an end to this two day, two road game slide.

Truth be told, he needs to break-out tonight and throw 7 innings of 3 hit, one run ball. He needs to show that he really still is a pitcher who was "on the list" for a Cy young last season, and not a loser that his previous team was thrilled to dump. He needs to show that he has not deteriorated back to 2004.

I will drink a shot and a beer for every good inning he pitches. Maybe two shots and a beer.

It is no longer Cinqo De Mayo, but there are reasons to worry anytime in May when Javier is pitching.

  1. You won't get drunk tonight.
I'd be thrilled with 5 innings from JV and a 9-6 win.

  2. I'd be thrilled with a game. Weather doesn't look promising.
