I'm Going To Be Away For A While

I'm already on the road.

On New York Yankee business.

A number of us are gathering in a desolate, secluded spot in the north country, not that far from the Canadian border.

That's in case there is any trouble.

The meetings go on for 24 not so calm hours.

In most cases, secret names are used.

The attendees vary from year to year, with but a few constants.

Nothing is written. There are no records.

By Sunday night, there will be no traces that anything occurred.

The place will be abandoned until summer.

But the Yankees will be attended to.
