"The Yankee Manny" pitches 2 scoreless innings against famed '27 Redsocks

Yankee rookie Manny Banuelos -- auditioning to be traded to Seattle for a 25-year-old pitcher with a 35-year-old arm -- tossed 2 and 2/3rd innings of shutout ball against the legendary 1927 Boston Redsocks tonight.

When IT IS HIGH went to press, the Yankees were leading 1-0 against the Boston team, known as "The Greatest Team in the History of Teamwork."

It would certainly be a feather in our cap if we can score enough runs to come with two or three of the Redsock powerhouse.
