To the Editor:
Regarding Timothy J. O’Hare’s May 21 letter concerning the lack of sportsmanship from Yankee fans: Look at the source — baseball itself. Here you have a sport that at the end of every game, the winning team goes out on the field and shakes hands — not with the opposing team, but with each other. Nice sportsmanship, wouldn’t you say?
What kind of example is this for the young children who idolize these athletes. And don’t get me started on spitting.
