Jeter and Posada Pass Gehrig and Lazzeri (In More Ways Than One)


There's certainly no good news coming from Toronto tonight, so instead.......
Last night, Derek Jeter and Jorge Posada set the Yankee record for most games played together by a pair of Yankees. They passed Lou Gehrig and Tony Lazzeri by playing for the 1,660th time together in a regular season game.
I couldn't find a pic of a young Mrs. Lazzeri, so it is possible that Mae (pictured above at the 1991 Hall of Fame Induction), could have been once a fox. Lazzeri was an often overlooked, great Yankee.
