The really bad news: the final weeks of this season are looking like the final crappy weeks of last season. We're playing mediocre basesball against lousy teams, we're falling behind the division leaders, and our wild-card lead is shrinking, though not enough to add any excitement to the "race." And Brett Gardner is showing his true colors, batting .234 in his last 107 AB. Season OPS comparison: Gardner .728; the much-maligned Mr. Jones .868., 3d highest on the team.
